Critiques
But, I am writing a critique, not a crazed ramble over how lovely your art is. xD As usual, anatomy looks fine, maybe fix Cecil's mouth a bit-- the top lip looks kind of strange. Lineart is nice and clean, coloring good, everything checks out.
I'll try to focus more on what I think of the color scheme. It does show that you tried something new and experimented a little, but I think you could take it a step further. Idk if it's my ancient monitor, but their skin looks a little too pink... which is fine, but the rest of the colors don't seem to match it. With this picture, it feels like I only have a faint impression of the color scheme because, well, there aren't enough colors in the picture. I know you weren't going for a full CG painting here, but it just doesn't feel like enough. Maybe if some highlights were added to the clothes/hair/etc. that would help?
I don't know what kind of color scheme you wanted, but shading, for example, Cecil's green shirt with a darker green feels a little boring. I think if you really want to get the colors interesting, do something a little braver than just shading using a slightly darker variation of whatever color. Pictures like [link] don't do anything too strange like, shading a red object using purple, but it still works. The artist doesn't take the colors and make them darker, instead she added a deeper blue to the mix. Of course this doesn't work every time
Although, maybe I'm being unfair-- what is "color variations" ? Is it like a filter?
